Blazers run out of gas on a crucial weekend

Report by Nachi
It was a good day for a game of cricket, but for some reason the energy in the Blazers camp was not at the usual level. Although folks were at the ground we had all 11 only at 9:30. After the usual warm up and stretching, we lost the toss and were forced to field.
Arun D and Chetan started the proceedings with the ball. Both of them bowled brilliantly and were not giving any room to the opening batsmen. Chetan got an early breakthrough in his second over, while Arun was unlucky on the other end. Due to dropped chances panthers were at 67/1 at 14 overs. Blazers did a fantastic job coming back into the game immediately after the break. Catching was spotless and we were able to restrict them to a meager total of 120. Catching from Vivek, Mohak and Natty were similar to sportscenter top ten. Mohak, Arun A and Chetan took 3 wickets each to their name. A shout out to Vivek for his tight bowling at one end, which definitely helped us get wickets at the other end. Nandan did a good job behind the stumps.
Chasing low totals is never easy, especially at Ortega. But there is nothing much to say about our batting. It was the worst we have seen in the past couple of years. Agreed that bowling as such was good, but there are no words to describe the shot selections. There was no temperament shown. Blazers started slow and were looking at 19/3 then 25/6. Arun D and Vivek played really well to consolidate and got the score to a 67/6, but was not enough to pull it through.
Positives:
Great come back during the bowling
Amazing catching
