Dynamos lose in spite of Sanket’s stand

Report: Parameshwar (note: scorecard hasn't been updated and uploaded yet)
 Venue: Tracy

Dynamos: 195 all out (Sanket 61)

Seamers: 196/3 (Highest individual Seamers’ score 82)
Dynamos won the toss and elected to bat on a superb ground for run scoring and a superb pitch. But the top order collapsed for the second time in a row to give Seamers the upper hand. Sanket played a wonderful innings opening the batting and continued until 30 overs with Sunder and Arun giving him some support. In the lower order, Atif played yet another well constructed innings with support from Baba and Sohail to get Sunnyvale to 195 off 45 overs. Atif remained not out.

Although 195 on Tracy is below par, the team was pumped at innings break to control Seamers’ batting. Sunnyvale opened the bowling with Atif and Sunder. One of the openers from Seamers came out guns blazing and took our bowlers apart. Sunder got the much needed breakthrough and the score read 60/1 in 6 overs. Eashwar and Sohail were introduced into the attack and a couple of chances went begging for the strike batsman who ended up scoring 82 and literally took the game away from us. Sohail eventually got the hitter out but it was too late and to do further damage to the Seamers’ innings. Giri tried everything by switching the bowlers but with some ordinary fielding, lack of energy in the field and inconsistent bowling, ended up with the Seamers batsmen trashing us to win it in around 30 odd overs.

Our catching and batting needs to improve if we are to win away games.
